Where did the summer go?

I can't believe it's fall already. Summer blew by so quickly but we had a lot of fun anyway.

The girls played soccer. Well, it was more of an introductory thing for kids. But they had fun. By the end they were all getting pretty good at kicking the ball.
Hours were spend in the sandbox.
and on the new playground that only took us about half the summer to build.

We took 3 two week long sessions of swimming lessons. The girls loved it. Natasha is becoming quite the little swimmer. Izzy and Jhanna never did manage to pass the pike class. But there is always next year. I did notice that Jhanna is much more comfortable in the water so all was not lost.

Each session at the very last class all of the students had to jump off the diving board. It was quite scary for some of the kids. But they all DID IT!! I am so proud of them. The very last session Natasha had advanced enough that she got to jump off with out a life jacket. WOW!

We enjoyed picnics in the park.
Other highlights include:
bike riding-Natasha learned how to ride without training wheels and Jhanna is riding a big girl bike instead of the trike.
slip-n-slide-Uncle Matt bought the girls a new toy and they love it.
cousins-Aunt Chelle and her five kids came and stayed with us for a whole week. The girls were so excited to have so many cousins to play with.
Drive-in theater-I took the girls to the drive in for the first time. They loved it so much we ended up going every time they had a new child appropriate movie playing.
