Today was Jhanna's first ever day of preschool. She was so excited. Last night as I am tucking her in bed I asked what she wanted for breakfast on her first day of school. She smiled brightly and replied "cereal!!!" Well, that made breakfast this morning super easy. When I dropped her off she only hesitated for a second before she was off to play with the train set. I however, was feeling a little sad. So on the way home I called Radu to reminisce about sending our little girl to preschool. I was telling him about how I couldn't believe I had just dropped our baby off at school. Natasha chimes from the back seat, "Jhanna is NOT a baby, she's a big girl like me." The rest of the way home Natasha sang this song for me, "Jhanna's going to school, she's going to have lots of fun. And mom's whining and whining and whining and whining. Jhanna's having fun and mom's whining and whining and whining." Now that certainly made me feel better. Tasha and I made rice crispy treats for Jhanna when she got home from school. Jhanna loved the surprise. She told me they learned magic tricks on her first day. I still just can't get over that fact that my baby is a big girl now. Luckily, I have Natasha to remind me.
