My BFF Kate took the girls and I out to lunch at "Old McDonald's" as Natasha calls it or according to Izzy "Donald's". We let the kids pick what can I say, it's the play place it gets the kids every time. Anyone seen Supersize Me. OK, so there are two adults and four children on of which is still a baby and thankfully still carrier bound-should be no problem right, surely we can handle the situation. As soon as we walk in the door the three girls beeline it for the play place while Kate and I order. We go to find a seat and check in on the girls and find their coats and shoes thrown right in the middle of the floor. We get that all cleaned up and sit down. Suddenly I hear a hysterical child screaming "Mom, help me." Jhanna was trying to climb up the little tubey things but could only get about half way up. She was scared to get down so I had to rescue her. Wonder Mom is at it again. By the way, I had to save her at least three more times before we left. All of this brought back memories of Natasha when she was about 19 months old, she had climbed all the way up in the tubes and couldn't find the slide to get down and out. So wonder mom had to climb all the way up the tubes to rescue her lost child. (Perhaps this is why her dad refuses to go to McDonald's.) Did I mention I was 8 months pregnant at the time. Needless to say, we don't patronize that particular McDonald's anymore. We go to the one with a smaller tube system just in case. Anyway, back to the point (if there is one) we got sat down and were about to eat when one of the kids knocked a drink on the floor. So we had to get that mopped up. It was going well after that until Natasha knocked all her fries on the floor. (Seriously, people it is a matter of life and death.) We did manage to make it through and only had to moderately fight the girls to leave among demands for ice cream. And this is way we don't go to Old McDonald's very often. I am definitely in for adult's choice next time.

You and me both! Next time we think its a good idea to let the kids pick, lets hit each other. By the way, Izzy still brings up the fact that I owe her ice cream. We'll have to take them out sometime this weekend.
